One of my all-time favorite producers (on-the-rise) to harass, Bwana announced today that the track that started it all, ‘Baby Let Me Finish’ will finally be getting some vinyl love. The wax set will also include a new single, which you can listen to above, along with remixes by labelmates, Black Orange Juice and London’s 14th.
I’m sticking to my original thoughts on Bwana’s sound: ‘This is what Balam Acab would sound like if someone asked him to DJ a party and the only request was “Please don’t make us fall asleep.”’ Somewhere between deep ambient flows, sexy drops and chopped up vocal reworks, Bwana dances to the beat of his own drum (pad). Such a fan.
